Here are some of our friends who have "something" to do with beer...
Barclay's Pub in Oakland, CA - This is where it all started back in 1991 and Barclay's is still one of the best beer bars in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you go in, tell Gene Chris and Merideth said 'Hi'. Also, look for Chris' 100 beers plaque - second row, bottom.
beer-chef.com - Our friend Bruce Paton is the Executive Chef at the Cathedral Hotel in San Francisco and puts on amazing "Dinner with the Brewmaster" events. Check out his website and get on his mailing list.
Beer by Bart - Want to know how to get to the best beer spots in the San Francisco Bay Area on public transportation? Beer by Bart is the brainchild of Gail Williams and Steve Shapiro and is a comprehensive listing of the top beer destinations grouped by BART station.
Beer Northwest - A quarterly beer magazine focusing on the Pacific Northwest. Covering beer, food, and lifestyle, the magazine will appeal to thousands of local beer enthusiasts, as well as people traveling through the region.
Beer School - A beer podcast done out of San Francisco with our friend Motor and John Foster. The podcasts cover a wide range of beer-related topics, including beer travel.
Brookston Beer Bulletin - Jay is the nicest guy in the beer industry and his website has to be one of the most comprehensive beer news sites around.
City Beer Store - Our favorite beer place to hang out in San Francisco. Pick a beer from their extensive inventory of beer from around the world and enjoy. Five draft handles round out a fun and relaxing beer experience.
Davis on Draft - Justin and Mollie Davis have a beer podcast based out of Franklin, TN. where they offer beer news and tasting notes. Beer couples are taking over the world!
floggingmolly.de - Our friend Ute runs the German Flogging Molly fan club website. The connection to beer? There is nothing better than downing a few Guinness and seeing a Flogging Molly show.
kegmaster.com - Brad, a fellow beer traveler and Chief Beer Officer finalist. Brad also writes for Beer Magazine.
The Beer Retard - Our friend Chris is a beer blogger in Seattle.
The Celebrator - When we first started our beer travels in the early 90s, the Celebrator was THE resource for finding breweries and brewpubs. Even today, the Celebrator is not only the best brewspaper, but is still a great resource for the beer traveler.
The Old Fountain - Our friend Paul is the cellar man at the Old Fountain in London, In the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the Old Fountain is located at 3 Baldwin St. just a few blocks from the Old Street tube station (Northern Line).
Wet Your Whistles - Our friends Jen and Joey run the on-line guide to watering holes along the San Francisco Bay Area Caltrain railway line. The site is a comprehensive list of brewpubs, microbreweries, bars, and well-stocked restaurants from San Jose to San Francisco.
